I would not use detergents on orchids because it's pretty harsh and could damage. It's not for certain but it's possible. You can get insecticidal soap at lawn and garden centers that are made to kill insects while not harming the plant.
You can also use a neem oil spray like 3in1 by Bonide. Its not only kills insects it has fungicidal properties also.
